When it comes to buying the best boiler for you needs there are a few top boiler manufacturers to choose from. They all offer energy efficient A rated boilers for small and large homes. The type of boiler you need will depend on the size of your home, how many bathrooms you have. But once you know what type how do you choose which manufacturer to go by? The brand has been around for over 150 years. They have built more than 5 million boilers since they began since Thomas Potterton founded the company back in 1850. Possibly one of the oldest manufactures' of boilers in the UK. Which? Magazine has awarded the Potterton Gold Combi 24 HE as a best by for the last 4 years running.

Worcester boilers are relatively new in comparison to Potterton as they have only been going since 1962. The company has had a few name changes of the years. It started as Worcester Engineering Ltd, then Worcester Heat Systems Ltd, and then in 1992 it was acquired by Robert Bosch, changing the name to Worcester, Bosch Group. Famous for pioneering the first domestic oil-fired boilers. Today the British company employs more than 2,000 people at their headquarters in Derbyshire. Now known as a market leader in within the domestic heating and hot water market in the UK. In 2005, 06 and 07, the Worcester Greenstar Boilers won 'CORGI's Boiler of the Year'.

Another manufacture regarded by installers as a leading brand is Halstead. Halstead boilers was established in the 1970's and started as one of the smaller companies. Now part of Glen Dimplex they are a major player in boiler manufacture.

Keston Boilers Ltd started back in 1928 where they were an installation and servicing company. They soon realised what was good and bad aspects of the then current boiler design. In 1994 they sold their first boiler. Today they are another top brand and all boilers are SEDBUK A-rated, which means they offer maximum performance and reliable heating with ultra low NOx combustion.

Those are the top 4 brands from my research. I didn't look at prices as you can get the best prices from installation companies which all sell these types of boilers. What I found is that they all offer the top SEDBUK A-rated boilers which mean they will give you up to 30 per cent saving on your fuel bills. They all make combi boilers and systems boiler using the latest technology. They also have virtually no atmospheric pollution so keeping the environment happy.
